In the interest of enabling communications with our Chapter, we have taken the time to provide the basic outline of our membership requirements below. If after reading the following information you wish to join, please visit our Contact Us page and send us an email. Please remember that this is not a business and that we ride most of the time. We will make every effort to answer our e-mails within 1-2 days of being received.
It is important to know that not everyone is cut out to ride with an association like the Latin American Motorcycle Association; however, if an individual rider is interested in joining our chapter, he or she will be required the following:
When an individual decides to seek Chapter Membership, he or she will be offered the chance to become a “Prospect” of our chapter. The Prospect Patch, a.k.a. the “P” patch, is issued to any member pursuing Full Membership. All prospect members must wear the “P” patch for a minimum of three (3) months. Upon completing three (3) months as a “Prospect” the Membership Committee of our Chapter will vote to promote the “Prospect” to “Probate.”
If the new member is promoted to Probate, he or she will be offered the privilege of wearing the “Latin American Motorcycle Association Rockers”. The L.A.M.A. Rockers are added to the “P” patch to create the Probate Set. Prospect members who are voted to Probate status must wear this set for a minimum of three (3) months.
The Chapter will vote to promote the individual to Full Membership after the individual has completed a minimum of six (6) months as a “Probate” member.
Suppose the “Probate” member is promoted to “Full Membership”. In that case, he or she will then be offered the privilege to wear the “Full L.A.M.A. Colors” and become a Full Member of the Latin American Motorcycle Association Chicago HQ Chapter. “Full Colors” are awarded to “Probate” members who successfully complete the six (6) month probation period.
Important to Know:
Latin American Motorcycle Association does not give “COLORS” away. An individual must earn the right and privilege to wear Our Colors. Any member that fails to meet or comply with Latin American Motorcycle Association National Bylaws will be stripped of Latin American Motorcycle Association membership and of Latin American Motorcycle Association Colors.
